Croatian AiF Commander attends EURAC
The Commander of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, Brigadier General Miroslav Kovač on 5 and 6 May 2016 attended the EURAC – European Air Chiefs Conference in Mallorca, Spain.
The Conference was hosted by Spanish General F. Javier Garcia Arnaiz, who stressed the importance of the contribution from the air forces to crisis management in the current strategic context and the role of the air component as a highly important instrument for the decision makers in addressing the non-traditional security issues.
The two-day Conference featured an exercise by the members of the Spanish special forces and the state-of-the-art defence industry products.
EURAC was established in 1993, with the main objective of finding new methods of studying and cooperating among European Air Forces – within and outside of NATO. In this context, considerable importance has been given to creating a common vision in with regard to the ways of educating and training future officers.
It seeks to encourage solidarity through the development of collaboration and friendship among the participating countries, while also guaranteeing top-level co-operation in the field of military aviation. It focuses on the key issues of the moment and on topics of mutual interest.
