Croatian Air Force and Croatia Control Ltd run “Exercise “NEBO 2017”

The joint simulation exercise of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence and of the Croatia Control Ltd on 24 March 2017 conducted a joint simulation exercise titled “NEBO 17“ (Sky) in the Croatia Control LTd simulator suite in Velika Gorica.

It was the first exercise of the kind, aimed at practicing the co-ordination procedures in protecting the national air space sovereignty.
The Exercise scenario simulated anticipable situations in the air space (e.g. communication failure with the civilian aircraft, the entry of a foreign aircraft into the  Croatian air space or failures in military aircraft.
The operators of the Croatian Control Ltd and of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence acted in co-ordination through simulated situations applying the procedures to neutralise the risk and the resulting harm for the citizens of the Republic of Croatia and other users of airspace. 
The representatives of the Ministry of Defence and of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, of the Croatian Defence Academy and of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure and of Croatia Control Ltd attended the exercise as observers.
The Commander of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Brigadier General Miroslav Kovač and the Director of the Croatia Control Ltd commended the exercise outcome and the leved of skill of both the civilian and military teams resolving the simulated scenarios.
