Croatian Air Force team visits Czech Republic Base
A team from Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, headed by the Commander of the Fighter Aircraft Squadron of the 91st Croatian Air Base, Lt.. Col. Željko Ninić, returned from a 5-day visit to the Czech Republic (7-11 July), to explore the possibility of training of Croatian pilots on the subsonic fighter aircraft of the Czech Air Force.
The team familiarised with the 21st Tactical Air Base at Časlav and the Flight Training Centre, in order to assess the reasonability of the conduct of the endorsement training of Pilatus PC-9 pilots for the supersonic aircraft on a transitional aircraft type in the Czech Republic.
Croatian officers also acquainted themselves with the tactical and technical characteristics and manoeuvre capabilities of the tactical simulator for defensive counter air (DCA) operations and offensive counter air (OCA) operations, as well as with the properties of the L-39 Albatros and the L-159 ALCA trainer aircraft.
