Croatian Armed Forces members continue fighting the floods

On Monday 15 September 2014 130 more members of the Croatian Army, equipped with 17 motor vehicles, were deployed to the flood-hit Jasenovac area, rising the figure of members of the Croatian Armed Forces engaged in flood fighting in different parts of Croatia to 415.

As many as 110 members of the Croatian Army remain in the area of the villages of Letovanić and Žažina, reinforcing the embankment and filling the sandbags; 88 soldiers are out in the area of Selište Sunjsko and Donja Letina, 55 soldiers at Staro Pračno and 32 soldiers at Stara Drenčina respectively (all in the Sisak-Moslavina County).
The Croatian Armed Forces members have been deployed to assist the flood-hit areas residents in compliance with the Decision of the Defence Minister, Ante Kotromanović upon the request by the National Search and Rescue Directorate.
