Croatian government issued a decision allowing USS Harry S. Truman nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to sail into the Republic of Croatia
It is a routine visit of the USS Harry S. Truman nuclear-powered aircraft carrier of the United States Navy.
At its session held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, the Government of the Republic of Croatia passed a decision to allow the USS Harry S. Truman to sail into Croatian waters and stay in Split in February of this year.
Defence Minister Mario Banožić said that a note from the United States Embassy in Zagreb had been sent to the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, requesting permission for the USS Harry S. Truman to enter Croatian waters.
“It is a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier of the United States Navy, which has requested permission to enter the internal waters of the Republic of Croatia and stay in Split Port in February of this year,” said Minister Banožić, adding that this is a routine visit for logistical replenishment and rest of the ship’s crew.
