Navy member donates blood for the 101th time
The member of the Croatian Navy Training Centre, Sgt Denis Stanić on 19 February 2013 donated blood for the 101 time. He has been donour for 27 years already.
Defying risks for their own health, blood donours nobly continue to demonstrate humanity and care. They can, as sgt Stanić did, opt for tromboferesis (a method of selective filtration enabling multiple blood donations – up to 12 times a year). Although voluntary and anonymous, the gesture of sgt Stanić is worth respect as a commendable example of solidarity.
