Croatian Navy Commander duty handover
A ceremonial handover of the Croatian Navy Commander’s duty between the current Commander Rear Admiral (UH) Ante Urlić and newly appointed Commander of the Navy Rear Admiral (LH) Robert Hranj will take place on Monday, 5 November 2012, at 13.00 hours, in “Sveti Nikola” Barracks in Split.
Rear Admiral Robert Hranj, by the decision of the President and the Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Ivo Josipović, and on the proposal of the Chief of General Staff and with the consent of the Minister of Defence, was relieved of duty as Deputy Military Representative to NATO and the European Union within the Permanent Delegation of Croatia to NATO in Brussels, and was appointed as Commander of the Croatian Navy. Ante Urlić was appointed as Deputy Chief of General Staff for Plans and Resources. The decision on dismissal entered into force on 31 October 2012, and decision on appointment entered into force on 1 November 2012.
