Croatian Navy on “ADRION LIVEX 11” international military exercise

Croatian Navy will participate on international military exercise “ADRION LIVEX 11” which will be held from 6 to 10 June in the port of Bar and in the waters of the Republic of Montenegro. “Dubrovnik” (RTOP- 42) missile gunboat with crew and one officer of the Navy in the exercise staff will be engaged.

“ADRION LIVEX 11” is a multilateral naval exercise that is conducted in order to improve interoperability and training procedures in the planning and execution of multinational operations, strengthening of safety at sea, and strengthening cooperation between countries of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.

The exercise will be attended by naval forces of Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia in the port of Bar, in Montenegrin territorial and in international waters.
Missile Gunboat “Dubrovnik” (RTOP-42) of Helsinki class is 45 meters long, 8.9 meters wide, and reaches a speed of 32 knots. The ship is part of the Croatian Navy Fleet since 2008. By commissioning “Dubrovnik” and “Vukovar” missile gunboats to operational use in Navy, we increased underwater detection capabilities.

Croatian Navy, besides the international military exercise “ADRION LIVEX 11”, will participate in two more international military exercises in 2011 – “PHOENIX EXPRESS 11” and “ADRION CAX 11”.
