Deputy Permanent State Secretary of the Danish Ministry of Defence, responsible for the security and defence policy, Kristian Fischer visited the Croatian Ministry of Defence on 18 February 2014
where he was received by the Assistant Minister for Defence Policy, Zoran Drča, and held a presentation on defence planning developments in Denmark.

They also exchanged views on the Agenda of the forthcoming NATO Summit, on the importance of participating in the projects within the Smart Defence Initiative, on partnerships and on the Open Door Policy.
Other topics considered included the current situation in South-East Europe, as well as the participation in ISAF.
The talks were followed by a presentation on defence planning in Denmark, including the Danish Defence Agreement for the period 2013-2017.
