Defence Minister Ivan Anušić pays a working visit to the Croatian Air Force

On Monday, December 11, 2023 Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ivan Anušić, Chief of the CAF General Staff Admiral Robert Hranj and their associates paid a working visit to the Croatian Air Force at the Colonel Marko Živković Barracks in Velika Gorica.
On this occasion, on the eve of the 32nd anniversary of the Croatian Air Force, which is celebrated on December 12, the Minister congratulated the Croatian Air Force members on their excellent achievements, hard and dedicated work, and exceptional engagement in carrying out their tasks, saying: Your calling is truly unique. I am proud of your hard work and dedication to carrying out the tasks of protecting the Croatian airspace, including the successful execution of tasks in international operations, fire protection and emergency medical transport.”
The Croatian Government is determined to modernise the Croatian Army. It strongly supports the strengthening of our defence capabilities. Next year we expect implementation of the largest strategic project since the establishment of the Croatian Army – the arrival of Rafale multi-purpose combat aircraft into the Croatian Air Force. I believe that we will successfully finalise this significant project , the Minister said, adding further strengthening of the Croatian Air Force helicopter component will continue in cooperation with the United States as Croatia’s most important strategic partner in the field of defence.
Chief of the CAF General Staff Admiral Robert Hranj, and Croatian Air Force Commander Brigadier General Michael Križanec informed the Minister on the current projects, tasks and activities, as well as achievements and challenges of the Croatian Air Force.
Admiral Hranj and General Križanec expressed their satisfaction with the successful implementation of the Croatian Air Force’s historic project, the introduction of the Rafale combat aircraft into operational use, and with the construction of infrastructure facilities for the Croatian Air Force.
