Defence Minister meets with Ambassador of Serbia

Both sides declared readiness to continue developing the bilateral relations and intensifying communication at all levels.
The Minister and the Ambassador discussed the security situation in southeast Europe, with the focus on the migrant crisis as a pressing challenge for both countries. Croatia and Serbia need to co-ordinate and communicate intensively to be able to respond to that and other existing issues
Minister Buljević said Croatia would continue to assist  all neighbouring countries to develop their institutional capacities to facilitate the joint efficient response to security challenges.  The Minister emphasised the importance of substantial and inclusive regional co-operation.
The two sides also stressed the importance of European integration for the long-term stability of southeast Europe, and  Minister Buljević reiterated the support by the Republic of Croatia to the Repub lic of Serbia in its accession to the European Union.
