Defence Minister meets with the Ambassador of Chile

Minister Buljević and Ambassador Nilo confirmed the traditionally good relations between the Croatia and Chile, facilitated by the presence of a substantial Croatian diaspora which, as mutually underlined, was a solid foundation for the co-operation. The two sides reviewed the bilateral c-operation to date, and expressed the readiness to expand it primarily to the military technical domains, and the possibility to open the market for the placement of the military industry products.
Minister Buljević and Ambassador Nilo exchanged the views on the current global security and political situation, with the emphasis on the security threats posed by the migrant crisis and the situation in the Middle East. The also addressed the relations of the Republic of Chile with its South American neighbours. Given the experience of both countries in the contribution to the international operations, the two sides reiterated the continuous mutual commitment international peace and security.
