Defence Minister of Macedonia visits Croatian Ministry of Defence
The Defence Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Zoran Jolevski paid an office call to Minister Buljević on 9 March 2016.
The two ministers addressed the forthcoming NATO summit in Warsaw and the current status of Euro-atlantic integration processes in southeast Europe and the current security challenges, primarily the migrant crisis.
Minister Buljević pledged the support from Croatia and its Ministry of Defence for the integration of Macedonia into Euro-atlantic associations through the transfer of knowledge across a series of functional areas.
The two sides inevitably discussed the bilateral co-operation between Croatia and Macedonia within the U.S.-Adriatic Charter presently chaired by Croatia, and the joint contribution in Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan as one of the most productive projects of the Initiative.
Minister Buljević expressed comprehension for the security and humanitarian crisis faced by Macedonia, whose resolution will depend on a united and co-ordinated effort by the EU nations and other countries stricken by migrant crisis.
