Defence Minister visits 20th HRVCON ISAF troops in the north

Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović visited on 8 November 2012, the 20th Croatian contingent ISAF troops, in Marmal Camp, near the city of Mazar e Sharif in northern Afghanistan.

During the visit, Minister Kotromanović met with the Deputy Commander of the Regional Command North, U.S. Brigadier General John. W. Bullard to discuss the contribution of the Croatian forces to the ISAF operation. General Bullard commended Croatian Infantry Company, which is part of the German Battalion, as well as the overall contribution of the Republic of Croatia in support of peace and stability in Afghanistan.

After meeting the U.S. General, Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović visited members of the National Support Element, members of the national element for communication and information systems, members assigned to the ISAF Command in Regional Command North, and members of the 9th Infantry Company from the composition of the Guards Motorised Brigade, with whom he discussed the duties they hold and tasks they perform, spending the afternoon with them.

Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović and his associates has been in a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and to the 20th Croatian contingent deployed in the ISAF mission until 9 November 2012.
