Donations of Club of Military Attaches

Delegation of Club of Military Attaches accredited in Zagreb, headed by the doyen of the Military-diplomatic Corps, Colonel Soeren Knudsen, Military Attaché of the Kingdom of Denmark, visited on Wednesday, 9 March 2011, the Centre for Autism, the Croatian Red Cross and the Children’s Home in Zagreb in Nazorova Street and handed each of the institutions a donation, in total donating 18.600,00 kunas.

Besides Colonel Soeren Knudsen, in the delegation also were Sergeant Major Peter Simmer, Assistant of Military Attaché of the Republic of Austria to Croatia, and Staff Sergeant Zeljko Brnic, Assistant Defence Attaché of Germany to Croatia.
On behalf of the Centre for Autism, a donation was received by the director of the institution, Professor Ivica Dokleja, who thanked the donors and announced that the donated funds will be spent for purchasing of new equipment for people with communication disabilities.
Executive President of the Croatian Red Cross, prim.dr.sc.dr.med Nenad Javornik, when receiving the donation expressed gratitude and satisfaction because the Croatian Red Cross, which has been conducting more than 40 different health and social programs in Croatia, has been recognized as an institution that deserves attention.
When receiving the donation on behalf of the Children’s Home in Zagreb, its director Dr. Jasna Curkovic Kelava thanked the donors and pointed out that the institution cares for 250 children, and donated funds would be spent on meeting the needs of many children.
