First generation of Omani pilots complete training at Zemunik
On the occasion of the completion of the training of the Royal Air Force of Oman pilots in the Zemunik Barracks, the Commander of the 93rd Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Base, Colonel Karol Lučan and the Commander of the “Rudolf Perešin“ Training Centre, Colonel Dragan Oljica on 18 December received the delegation of the Royal Air Force of Oman.
The twelve Omani pilots successfully ended their flight training on the Pilatus PC-9M aircraft of the Aircraft Squadron of the 93rd Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Base.
Reviewing the training period behind them with the two commanders, the Omani delegation expressed high satisfaction with the living and working conditions provided for them in the Base as well as with the very training process and declared interest in continuing the co-operation and renewing the training arrangement for a new another generation of pilots.
The 93rd Base Commander, Colonel Karol Lučan, stressed the capability of training of foreign pilots in the Base “as an important outcome of the first commercial deal of training of foreign pilots, administered by world’s top standards. The training of the first generation of pilots of the Sultanate of Oman was completed as planned and agreed, confirming professionalism of the instructors and air technicians alike”, concluded Colonel Lučan.
