Five firefighting aircraft, two ships and two inflatable boats of the Croatian Navy at the fire sites in Dalmatia

At approximately 12 p.m. today, 21 June 2025, members of the specialised emergency response Fire and Rescue Teams (PP NOS OS RH), accompanied by two Croatian Navy inflatable boats, a Ministry of Interior vessel, and a civilian boat, helped evacuate 25 people from the fire site in the Marušić area of Split-Dalmatia County.
Two inflatable boats and two assault ships from the Croatian Navy remain at the location in question on standby and will be deployed if necessary.
Additionally, the air force is putting out the fire in the Pisak region near Omiš using four Canadair CL-415 firefighting aircraft and one Air-Tractor AT 802.
This is the first deployment of naval forces from the specialised emergency response Fire and Rescue Teams (PP NOS OS RH) this year.
As of 21 June 2025, the Croatian Firefighting Association had received 16 requests for the air force’s deployment; 167 flights had been conducted, 34 hours of flight time had been completed, and 817 tonnes of water had been discharged.
