General Baric visited the Army of the Republic of Macedonia
Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces (CAF) for plans and resources, Lieutenant General Slavko Baric, accompanied by his associates, visited the Army of the Republic of Macedonia from 14 to 16 April 2011.
During the first day of visit to Macedonia, General Baric met the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Macedonian Army, Major General Nasser Sejdini and the Deputy Defence Minister Emil Dimitriev. They discussed the current situation in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia and in the Croatian Armed Forces and about further cooperation between the two armed forces on a bilateral basis and within regional initiatives. CAF delegation also visited the Military Medical Centre in Skopje.
Second day of the visit, General Baric visited the Joint Operations Command of the Macedonian Army and “Krivolak” military training ground. Tactical training, tactical and specialized military exercises for all services and branches of the Army of Macedonia has been conducted on the training ground, as well as pre-deployment training for international missions and operations with emphasis on the ISAF mission. The Croatian delegation, along with a tour of facilities, was presented with the characteristics and capabilities of the military training ground.
In addition to the Deputy Chief of General Staff for Plans and Resources, Lieutenant General Slavko Baric, the CAF delegation were composed of the Chief of Staff of the Army Command, Brigadier General Alojz Tomasevic, Deputy Chief of CAF Operations and Training Directorate Colonel Martin Starcevic, and Deputy Chief Operations Directorate Brigadier Darko Bijuklic.
