General Lovrić gave a lecture at Faculty of Political Science
“The regional defence cooperation” was the topic of the lecture, which was held on 21 January 2013 by the Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces for students at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb.
General Lovrić in his lecture gave an overview of areas and forms of regional cooperation highlighting the multiregional position of Croatia and complexity of multilateral and bilateral cooperation with neighbouring countries that belong to different military-political alliances and initiatives.
With a detailed overview of regional initiatives involving Croatia and Croatian Armed Forces, General Lovrić presented students with CAF participation in joint activities such as joint training, military exercises and joint participation in international peace support operations.
Participating in numerous regional initiatives and activities, the Republic of Croatia strengthens stability, security and confidence in the region. At the same time by participation in regional cooperation, the Armed Forces support the achievement of Force Goals, and develop and maintain the necessary skills. Regional cooperation in which the CAF participate strengthens the relationships with the key strategic allies and partners, while promoting and supporting the full integration into NATO and the EU.
