General Lovrić attends NATO CHOD meeting
The Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General Drago Lovrić attended the two-day Military Committee Chiefs of Defence session in the NATO Headquarters on 21 and 22 January 2015.
The first day’s agenda included the overview of the overall political situation and the increasing instability on the Eastern and Southern flanks of the Alliance’s borders, followed by the meeting with the representatives from the Mediterranean Dialogue partner countries, who briefed them on the regional security situation, opening the discussion on a broader military-to-military co-operation.
In the NATO format the participants reviewed the Resolute Support mission and its future viability in Afghanistan, as well as the Readiness Action Plan and the High Readiness Force.
The Chiefs of Defence provided advice and agreed on a number of measures to be reviewed by the senior NATO bodies at their upcoming meetings.
