General Lovrić attends NATO Military Committee meeting
The Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General Drago Lovrić is heading the Croatian delegation at the regular NATO Military Committee meeting in Brussels of 21 and 22 May 2014.
The meeting is headed by the Chairman, General Knud Bartels and attended by the Chiefs of Defence of the 28 member nations.
The 21 May agenda included the key challenges facing the Alliance and the co-operation among the Allies and the partners focussed on the upcoming summit to be held in Wales. The Committee also shared the views on the global security and reviewed Education, Training, Exercises and Evaluation.
The Chiefs also considered NATO’s current and future missions in ISAFand other activities aimed at maintaining interoperability with partners and contributing nations and keeping the Alliance strong, flexible and ready to face future challenges.
The delegation is composed of the Croatian Military Representative to NATO and the EU, Lieutenant General Mirko Šundov, Deputy Chief of the General Staff for Operations, Major General Mate Pađen, Head of the Planning Directorate of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Commodore Marileo Staničić and the Aide-de-Camp to the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Emilio Turina.
