General Lovric met military attaches of Romania and Serbia

Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Drago Lovric met separately on Monday, 21 March 2011, with military attachés of Romania Colonel Francisco Romocea and with the former military attaché of the Republic of Serbia Colonel Radoslav Ilic and with his successor Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Bogdanovic.

Brigadier Romocea in his address expressed appreciation for the reception and stressed that Romania appreciates the contribution of the Republic of Croatia to international peace support operations, as well as the contribution to NATO operations. He also stressed that safety is a priority in the region to which Romania would continue to put special attention. When welcoming the newly appointed military attaché of Romania, General Lovric said that the Croatian Armed Forces were open to the continuation and expansion of cooperation with Romanian counterparts, especially bearing in mind the common aim of preserving security and stability in the region.

During the meeting of Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Drago Lovric with previous and newly-appointed military attaché of the Republic of Serbia Colonel Radoslav Ilic and Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Bogdanovic, they discussed bilateral military cooperation between the two countries.
Brigadier Ilic said that the agreement on cooperation in defence between the two countries was the basis for even better relations between the armed forces of the two countries. He stressed the importance of cooperation and security of countries in the region. General Lovric thanked the former military attaché for maintaining very good relations and at the end of the meeting said that he was convinced that Lieutenant Colonel Bogdanovic would continue his predecessor’s efforts to enhance military-military relations, where the Croatian Armed Forces would provide him with all the support.
