General Lovrić visits Omani Royal Armed Forces

The Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General Drago Lovrić is heading the Croatian delegation on an official visit to the Omani Royal Armed Forces.

On the first day of the visit General Lovrić met with the Omani Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Ahmed Bin Harith Al Nabhani, the Minister Responsible for Defence,  H.E. Sayyid Badr Bin Saud Al-Busaidi, and the Omani Air Force Commander, Major General Mattar Bin Ali Al-Obaidani.
The Croatian and the Omani delegation considered the possible domains of bilateral co-operation, and highlighted the flexibility of the Croatian Armed Forces and their readiness to tailor training programmes to particular needs within shortest period. The two sides also commended the on-going flight training for Omani pilots, administered at Zemunik from March to December 2014.
The Croatian Armed Forces delegation also visited the mechanised brigade, the Combat Training Centre and the National Defence College of the Sultanate of Oman and familiarised with the strategic level of military education. They were also invited to the Said Bin Sultan Naval Base, where General Lovrić met with the Navy command staff, and were taken for a tour of the Naval Academy, with its polyclinics, bar chambers and the vessel maintenance infrastructure Normal 0 21 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
