IMO Training Conference
The two-day conference on the training of individuals and units of the Croatian Armed Forces in international military operations (IMO), organized by the Operations and Training Directorate of the General Staff, was opened on Wednesday, 5 October 2011, in the barracks “Petar Zrinski” in Zagreb.
The conference was attended by the representatives of industry, the administration of General Staff, Centre for international military operations and other units involved in the preparation and training of the Croatian Armed Forces for the IMO,.
The conference was opened by the Deputy Chief of General Staff for Operations Admiral Zdenko Simicic and Chief of Operations and Training Directorate Major General Jozo Milicevic.
On this occasion, Admiral Simicic stressed the great importance that the international military operations represent for the activities of the Armed Forces, and emphasized the importance of this conference that should give clear conclusions that would direct future activities in preparation for the IMO.
General Milicevic expressed confidence that the conference will help that preparations for the IMO, in accordance with the objectives and available resources, in the future would be even more effective.
Conference on training of the CAF for the IMO has multiple purposes: to present the latest achievements in pre-deployment training, discuss the use and sharing of resources for effective training, to encourage coordination of efforts in preparing for the IMO, and to present, promote and coordinate new training initiatives.
