In the first 6 months CAF helicopters transported 206 patients
In the first six months in 2011 CAF helicopters transported 206 patients and 361 accompanied personnel, with around 600 flights and 270 flight hours.
The largest number of medical flight was performed from the central Dalmatian islands (Hvar, Brac, Korcula, Lastovo, Vis, Solta and Rab) particularly since the beginning of the summer tourist season.
Thus, on Tuesday, July 5 and Wednesday, July 6, in the morning, CAF helicopter MI8-MTV transported six patients to Clinical Hospital Split.
Thanks to the quick intervention of the CAF, a helicopter MI-8 MTV from the island of Hvar transported five patients, one of which was Swiss tourist, and one child from the Czech Republic. MI-8 MTV helicopter also transported one patient from the island of Brac to Split Clinical Hospital. These emergency medical flights were carried out at the request of the Split County 112 Centre.
