International military pilgrimage to Lourdes

Under the slogan “A sign of the cross-a sign of life”, the 52nd International military pilgrimage in which Croatian military and police forces has been taking part for the eighteenth time was officially opened on Friday, May 21, in Lourdes.

This year, the Croatian military and police pilgrims were joined by the Minister of Defence Branko Vukelic and Minister of Veterans Tomislav Ivic with their associates. Croatian Ambassador to France Mirko Galic and
Military Attaché Colonel Andrija Sakic joined the Croatian delegation as well.

The commander of this year’s 18th Croatian military police pilgrimage was Brigadier General Frane Tomicic, and his deputy was Brigadier General Tomo Medved.
