Italian War School visits CDA

The Croatian Defence Academy hosted on Tuesday, 12 March 2013  the 12 students of the War School of the Italian Armed Forces headed by the Commodore Valerio Boldrini and accompanied by the Italian Defence Attache accredited to the Republic of Croatia, Col. Carlo Emiliani.

The Italian visitors were welcomed by the Commander of the „Blago Zadro“ Command and Staff School, Col. Željko Akrap and the School Staff.

Col. Akrap briefed the Italian War School students on the activities conducted by the Croatian Defence Academy, its mission, structure and education models. The hosting delegation also delivered the presentations on „Political and Security Situation in South-East Europe“ and „Challenges before the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia following the Accession into NATO and the EU“.

From the Italian part, Maj. Federico Ceccaroli of the Italian War School presented the Senior Defence Studies Centre (the CASD), the institution superior to the War School of the Armed Forces of the Italian Republic.

The study visit of the Italian War School will include a visit to Vukovar and to the „Vitez Damir Martić“ Barracks at Rakitje.
