Jasenice Municipality awarded Logistical support battalion of Support Command

This award is a thanks to the Battalion for general logistic support for outstanding contributions and achievements in the social and economic field in the Municipality of Jesenice, where, due to the prolonged drought during 2012, the support was provided in delivering water to families and farms during the April, August and September, when the residents of the Municipality were provided approximately with one million litres of water.

The award to Commander of the Battalion for the general logistic support, Colonel Marinko Nekić was presented by President of the Jasenice Municipal Council Martin Baričević at a ceremonial session of the Municipal Council held on 19 January 2013, on the occasion of the day of the Jasenice Municipality, in memory of “Maslenica” operation. The session on behalf of the Support Command was attended by the Support Command Commander Major General Mate Ostović.

Annual award “Don Mate Nekić” of the Jasenice Municipality is awarded to an individual or legal entity for the contribution and achievement of great importance for Jasenice Municipality from economic, scientific, cultural, health, social welfare, educational, sports, environmental or for activities from other areas.
