Key personnel training for SEESIM 14

The Simulation Centre of the Croatian Defence Academy in Zagreb from 9-11 September 2014 conducted the training of key personnel,  preparing for the international simulation exercise “Southeastern Europe Simulation Network Computer Asisted Exercise 14” (SEESIM 14) to be held from 26-26 September 2014.

The training was attended by representatives of seven member countries of the SEDM (South-eastern Europe Defence Ministerial, comprising Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania and Macedonia) and by the members of the South-Eastern Europe Brigade Headquarters (the SEEBRIG).
The training for the role of Site Manager and After Action Review Analyst”  was administered by the team of the Croatian Armed Forces, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Krešimir Lokas.
The training curriculum encompassed the Exercise design and dynamic plan, the structure and the duties of the Exercise Command, the network architecture, the Exercise scenario, information management and communications plan as well as the roles and responsibilities of the Site Manager and After Action Review Analyst.
SEESIM entails national simulation centres networking and constitutes one of the SEDM’s most important initiative; its purpose is to promote cooperation, coordination and interoperability of civil-military operations and reinforce real world crisis response among the SEDM nations through effective use of computer modelling and simulation (M&S). The specific aim is to develop the capabilities and procedures of national and regional coordination, cooperation, and mutual assistance among the SEDM nations in the event of large-scale emergencies or terrorist attacks
