“Kune” Tank Battalion marks its Unit Day
The “Kune” (“Martens”) Tank Battalion of the Croatian Army’s Mechanised Guards Brigade marked its Day and commemorated the 23 anniversary of the establishment of the 3rd Guards Brigade, its predecessor bearing the same name.
The ceremony, held at the «Dračice» Barracks in Đakovo on 29 April 2014, featured the review of the Battalion by the Commander of the Guard’s Mechanised Brigade of the Croatian Army, Brig. Gen. Siniša Jurković and the Tank Battalion Commander, Major Valentin Skroza.
Eight members of the Battalion were presented with commendations and prizes on the occasion.
The review was followed by the Holy Mass served on the occasion and a presentation of the establishment, history and re-organisations of the 3rd Guards Brigade. The ceremony was complemented by an Inter-Unit footsal and voleyball competition.
