Low-smoke gunpowder incineration on “Bralovac” military training area near Knin

The activity of controlled gradual incineration of low-smoke gunpowder, under the control of authorized deminers of the CAF Support Command will take place on the ” Bralovac” military training area near Knin from Tuesday, 7 December 2010.

These are planned activities that will be conducted in the next period, which dynamic depends on the planned tasks of the Army and weather conditions.
The activity will be conducted with maximum compliance with the environmental protection measures, fire protection and safety. The above incineration will have no impact on the environment different from the conventional burning of wood material, since the products of combustion of low-smoke gunpowder are equal to the product of burning materials such as wood. In carrying out these activities, the Study on the demilitarization of obsolete and outdated ordnance has been taken into account, and this activity of incineration of low-smoke gunpowder is common in other European countries.
