Members of CFC Coy ETT visit Islamic Centre in Zagreb
Members of the 1st HRV Consolidated Fielding Centre Company Embedded Training Team (CFC Coy ETT) on Monday 18 February 2013 visited the Islamic Centre in Zagreb and were welcomed by the imam of Zagreb, Mirza eff. Mešić. The Team is a component of the 21st HRVCON tasked with establishment, training and mentoring of the Afghan National Army units. They were accompanied by military chaplains – rev. Dragan Majić and the Chaplain of the 21st HRVCON, rev. Božo Medo.
The imam acquainted the visitors with tribal tradition of the local population of Afghanistan reflecting Islamic customs and drew their attention to proper daily interaction with Afghani soldiers during their term in ISAF.
Sgt Goran Steiner and the Chaplain, rev. Medo, extended the appreciation to the imam and emphasised the importance and utility of the visit to the Islamic Centre for their preparation for participation in ISAF.
