Members of Military Police Regiment visited Zagreb Mosque
As part of the preparation for the departure to the ISAF peacekeeping operation in Afghanistan, members of the Military Police Regiment of the 17th HRVCON visited today, December 15, Zagreb Mosque where effendi Aziz Hasanovic delivered a lecture on the basics of the Islamic religion, language, culture and customs of the people in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
On this occasion, Deputy Mufti and chief coordinator for the cooperation of the Islamic community in Croatia with the Ministry of Defence effendi Aziz Hasanovic expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Ministry of Defence in preparation of the CAF for international peacekeeping missions and operations. Effendi particularly referred to the Rules of Conduct with local population with whom they would collaborate on a daily basis and have contact with.
After the lecture, members of the 17th HRVCON visited the prayer part of the mosque where they were presented with the proper behaviour in occasion of entering this area.
At the end of the lecture Captain Ivica Devcic thanked effendi Hasanovic on lecture given to members of the 17th HRVCON.
Traditionally, since December 2006, CAF members visit Zagreb Mosque as part of preparations for participation in the ISAF mission. The main aim of the visit is the lecture for members of the Armed Forces in order to introduce them with the way of life, religious and cultural practices, and make them familiar with the tradition and history of the Afghan people.
