MiGs Pilots finished training in Dalmatia
Fighter pilots of the Fighter Squadron (EBA) of the 91st Air Force Base have successfully completed on Friday, 7 December 2012, the training cycle on MiG-21 airplanes in the Central and Southern Dalmatia.
The support to the implementation of these activities was provided by the 93rd Air Force Base in Zemunik, in which MiGs were stationed through the two weeks of flight operations, which also involved instrumental procedures on alternative and other airports, group flying and certain elements of combat pilot training geared to reach the necessary level of combat readiness of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence pilots.
As the Annual training program of the Fighter Squadron foresees flight training from alternative airports as well as rebasing of forces, Zemunik Air Base will be used in the future for MiG flight training, particularly given that Zemunik has the status of the HNS Base (Host Nation Support) with necessary capabilities to accept airplanes in transit.
It was also a good occasion to meet with pilots from 93rd Air Base that train for the military pilots and provide personnel for future combat pilots.
