Military exercise for UNDOF mission deployment

The 9^th Croatian contingent (HRVCON) in preparation for departure to the United Nations peacekeeping mission UNDOF on the Golan Heights held a military exercise at “Gašinci” military training area from 23 to 27 April 2012.

This was the final exercise of the 9^th HRVCON during which the evaluation of Contingent for UNDOF mission was conducted. On 25 April 2012 the exercise was also attended by Deputy Army Commander, Brigadier General Zvonko Peternel, and final assessment of readiness of the 9^th HRVCON conducted on Friday, 27 April 2012, was attended by the Deputy Chief of General Staff for Operations Rear Admiral Zdenko Simičić.

The planned deployment of the contingent to UNDOF mission is in early June 2012.
