Military Helicopter searches for missing young man in Korčula island24042014
The crew of the Transportation Helicopter Squadron of the 93rd Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Base dispatched a Mi-8-MTV helicopter to assist with the search of the missing 16-year old in the outskirts of Korčula (in the homonymous island) on 18 April 2014.
It has been the third search-and-rescue intervention for the crews of the Base in 2014.
The intervention lasted for two hours, and the aerial search was conducted jointly with the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service The young man still missing, the helicopter crew is kept stand-by to continue engagement in the search and rescue efforts.
