Military helicopters conduct several rescue operations on Tuesday
The Transport Helicopter Squadron of the 93rd Croatian Air Force and Air Defence had several interventions on Tuesday, 19 August 2014.
The Squadron’s crew continued the search for a jet ski rider, missing following the collision with a speedboat in the Čiovo aquatorium. As the Crew’s Captain, Major Ivica Šunjić said, the crew was assigned with searching a wider area of the Bay of Kaštela and the islands of Hvar and Korčula. The two-hour search unfortunately had no results.
The Croatian military helicopters also took part in the emergency rescue of a pregnant woman from the Stari Grad (the island of Hvar) and of a Slovenian tourist from Grohote in the island of Šolta, who had been injured in a traffic accident.
