Minister Anušić at the Maintenance Depot: We will increase substantive rights of the Croatian Armed Force members

On Tuesday, 2 January 2024 Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić, and Chief of the CAF General Staff Admiral Robert Hranj with their associates paid a working visit to the Maintenance Depot of the CAF Support Command.

On this occasion, Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić expressed satisfaction with the visit to the Support Command and the Maintenance Depot at the very beginning of 2024, and wished all members of the Support Command success in carrying out their tasks.

In his address, Minister Anušić emphasised: “Thank you for impeccably performing all the tasks of providing logistical support to the Croatian Armed Forces, and for being among the first to provide assistance to Croatian people. We must not forget that the maintenance of weapons and military equipment is the basis for successful execution of the tasks of the Croatian Armed Forces.”

Speaking about the high level of professionalism and readiness of the Croatian Armed Force members, the Minister of Defence emphasized that the focus of his mandate will be further improvement of the living and working conditions of Croatian soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers.

“We will do everything in our power to provide better living and working conditions to our members who are the centre of the defence system. A satisfied soldier is the basic strength of an army, so we continue to work on improving their substantive rights,” said Defence Minister Anušić.

In closing, the Minister added that popularisation of the military profession will continue, that is, the program of voluntary military training and career in the Croatian Armed Forces.

The Chief of the CAF General Staff, Admiral Robert Hranj, pointed out that successful work of all members of the Maintenance Depot is reflected in successful execution of the tasks by all members of the Croatian Armed Forces.

On this occasion, Commander of the Support Command, LTG Mladen Fuzul, delivered a presentation on the tasks, activities and plans of the Support Command and the Maintenance Depot.

As part of the visit, Minister Anušić and Admiral Hranj with their associates visited the workshop facilities of the Maintenance Depot.

Let us remind you that the Maintenance Depot is an organizational unit of the Support Command that performs integral and comprehensive maintenance and overhaul tasks of all types of weapons and military equipment of the Croatian Armed Forces and participates in the maintenance of weapons and military equipment of other services of the Croatian Armed Forces.
