Minister Anušić attends ceremonial reception at Pantovčak: You are the winners in the Homeland War, you are passing your knowledge on to the generations to come
In the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, a ceremony was held on the occasion of conferment of officer’s daggers to retired Colonels and the Navy Captain
On Friday, 9 February 2024 Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić participated in a ceremonial reception held in the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, on occasion of conferment of officer’s daggers to retired Colonels and the Navy Captain.
Highlighting their role and importance in the creation of an independent and modern Croatian state and the Armed Forces, Minister Anušić thanked the retired Colonels and the Navy Captain for their honourable and professional military service: “You were members of the victorious Croatian Armed Forces, that is what is specific about our Armed Forces, for the Croatian state. You are the winners of the Homeland War, today you are leaving to a well-deserved retirement. You should be proud of this and pass your knowledge on to the generations to come, your children, grandchildren, etc.,” Minister Anušić said.
“Stay faithful to your Homeland”, added the Minister of Defence and said – „May the dear God protect you.“
The President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces, Zoran Milanović, told the retired Colonels and Navy Captains, 19 of them, at the ceremonial reception on the occasion of their retirement:
“You still have strength and enthusiasm, ambition, interests and wishes. Continue to live successfully, dedicate yourself to what you love and want”.
The Chief of the CAF General Staff, Admiral Robert Hranj, thanked the retired high-ranking officers of the Croatian Armed Forces for their dedicated service and wished them happiness in a new period of life.
“I hope that you will enjoy your new life chapter a little more than you had the opportunity to do so while you were serving your country. Regardless of the fact that you are no longer in active duty service, I invite all of you together to remain loyal to the Homeland”, the Chief of the CAF General Staff said.
