Minister Anušić: I want better equipped and stronger Armed Forces
The image of a special force member is the image that carries the strongest message about the attractiveness of military service
Thank you for everything you do to make this message as strong and credible as possible, the Minister said to members of the Special Forces Command.
On Wednesday, 10 January 10 2024, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić and Chief of the CAF General Staff , Admiral Robert Hranj, paid a working visit to the Special Forces Command at the “Staff Colonel Ante Šaškor” Barracks in Delnice.
On this occasion, Minister Anušić pointed out that he is visiting all services and units of the Croatian Armed Forces and said: “I want stronger and better equipped Croatian Armed Forces.” I wish to hear all the problems you are faced with so that we solve everything we can solve”.
The Minister also commended members of the SFC for professional performance of their tasks, and said: “Undoubtedly, you were and have remained the most elite unit of the Croatian Armed Forces. By your constant investment in the development of knowledge and skills, you maintain the highest level of capability. At any moment, you are ready to carry out the most complex tasks and your contribution to high readiness of the entire Croatian Armed Forces is indisputable.”
In the context of popularisation of the military profession, Minister Anušić emphasised that the focus of his mandate will be further improvement of the substantive rights, living and working conditions of all members of the Croatian Armed Forces in order to make military profession even more attractive.
To that end Minister Anušić pointed out: “To be a special force member is an honourable and responsible job that carries great responsibility. The image of a special force member is the image that carries the strongest message about attractiveness of the military profession. Thank you for everything you do to make that message as strong and credible as possible.”
In his address, Admiral Hranj expressed his gratitude to members of the Special Forces Command for professional execution of their tasks and pointed out that this Command is a highly trained unit that contributes to the Croatian Armed Forces to be an equal partner to the armed forces of the partner countries.
The Commander of the Special Forces Command, Colonel Ivan Miloš, delivered a presentation on the mission, structure and organization of the unit, current projects and achievements, and challenges that the SFC is faced with in its operation.
Minister Anušić and Admiral Hranj with their associates visited the tactical and technical assembly of the military equipment and weapons and attended the presentation of the command and control system-TAK.
During his visit to the Memorial Room of the fallen members of the SFC, Minister Anušić lit a candle and signed the commemorative book.
