Minister Anušić Pays an Official Visit to Ukraine
Minister Anušić to Meet Ukrainian Defence Minister Shmyhal
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić arrived this morning for a two-day official visit to Ukraine, during which he will meet with Ukrainian Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal in Kyiv on Monday, 27 October 2025.
Minister Anušić and Ukrainian Defence Minister Shmyhal will discuss the continuation of Croatia’s support to the Ukrainian people, assistance to Ukraine’s defence industry, as well as cooperation between Croatian and Ukrainian defence companies and joint defence projects.
The Republic of Croatia has supported and assisted Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian aggression, having so far donated 14 packages of military aid worth a total of 214 million euros.
“In addition to this bilateral visit, I have come to Kyiv to pay tribute to the brave Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian warriors, and all the victims of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Ukraine has been resisting Russian attacks for almost four years. Croatia knows what it means to face an imposed war, and the Croatian Government will continue to support Ukraine through humanitarian and military assistance. During my visit to Kyiv, we will also discuss support for Ukraine’s defence industry and cooperation between the Croatian and Ukrainian military industries,” said Minister Anušić.
