Minister Anušić visits Croatian soldiers in Poland: We appreciate outstanding results you achieved in the missions
Admiral Hranj, the Chief of the CAF General Staff, and Minister Anušić paid a visit to the 69 members of the 13th HRVCON who are participating in the NATO-led enhanced Forward Presence activity in Poland
On Monday, 5 February 2024, members of the 13th HRVCON taking part in NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence activity at the Bemowo Piskie Barracks in the Republic of Poland were visited by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić, along with a delegation led by Admiral Robert Hranj, Chief of the CAF General Staff.
As of right now, the 13th HRVCON is made up of 69 participants in the NATO enhanced Forward Presence activity in Poland; the majority of these participants are members of the Croatian Army’s Artillery and Missile Regiment, including members of the Croatian Defence Academy, Support Command, Cyber Command, and Intelligence Regiment.
Minister Anušić used this opportunity to express his satisfaction at interacting with the CAF members in an international setting, where they once again demonstrated the professionalism, power, responsibility, and readiness of the Croatian Armed Forces.
“For their involvement in missions, operations, and activities, members of prior contingents won top grades. You will also accomplish such excellent results, we are confident. I appreciate that and all you do for Croatia and its people. Preserve the reputation of the Croatian Armed Forces, who freed and defended Croatia in 1991 and 1995,” stated minister Anušić.
“Based on lessons learned during the Homeland War, the Government of the Republic of Croatia recognises the value of having well-trained and equipped Croatian Armed Forces and the need to bolster our forces in the face of a changing security paradigm. Thus, it is advancing modernisation by incorporating the most cutting-edge western technology into our defence system,” added the minister, and concluded by saying:
“Take care of your safety, work as a team, and never forget that your family and your loved ones are waiting for your return. I believe you will gain important knowledge and expertise from this NATO activity and apply them to our Armed Forces.”
In addition to expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Admiral Hranj said that the military serves as a reminder of the value of preserving peace and security, particularly in the modern era. He said, “I expect that you will carry out your duties responsibly and conscientiously and that, in cooperation with your colleagues from the allied forces, you will contribute to the reputation of the Alliance and strengthen interoperability.”
