Minister Anušić: We must ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of the Croatian defence industry
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Defence with the Croatian Chamber of Economy to discuss options for presenting the domestic military industry on the international scene
Today, 20 March 2025, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić held a meeting at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia with the representatives of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the Ministry of Economy.
The meeting focused on the opportunities that Croatian defence industry companies can realize, as well as the challenges they face in the context of the new European ReArm Europe Plan.
Aspects of the ReArm Europe Plan were also discussed in the context of the opportunities for Croatian defence companies, with an emphasis on options for presenting Croatian defence industry at the international level, with the aim of strengthening its competitiveness and connecting with international partners.
At the meeting, Minister Anušić emphasized: “The development of the Croatian defence industry is important for our national security and our future. That is why it is of utmost importance that we all come together, focus on a common strategy, and develop plans that will ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of the Croatian defence industry in global environment.”
Luka Burilović, the President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, along with all other participants in the meeting expressed their full willingness for further cooperation and made themselves available for all necessary steps in achieving the goals for future development of the Croatian defence industry, providing their expert contribution and support in all phases of strategy development and implementation.
