Minister Bozinovic delivered decoration to Colonel McAloonu

Defence Minister Davor Bozinovic delivered today, on Thursday, 10 March 2011, Order of Croatian Trefoil Decoration, awarded by the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipovic, to former U.S. military attaché in Croatia Colonel Brendan McAloon in the Permanent Mission of Croatia to NATO.

During the mandate of the military attaché of the United States in Croatia, Colonel McAloon, a significant contribution in enhancing bilateral cooperation between Croatia and the United States armed forces has been made.
“Joint training, equipping the armed forces, cooperation in peacekeeping operations, help in Croatian integration into NATO, the programs of helping the Croatian Armed Forces through various U.S. funds, were the areas of professional engagement of Colonel McAloon, on the benefit of both countries. Colonel McAloon, I am very honoured to deliver you this decoration on behalf of the President Ivo Josipovic, and on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and Croatian Armed Forces once again I thank you for your work in Croatia”, Minister Bozinovic said when handing the medal to the U.S. Colonel, who, after duty of military attaché in Croatia took over the duty of military attaché in the Kingdom of Belgium.
When thanking on received decoration, Colonel McAloon said he was proud of his work in Croatia and that Croatia still have a true friend in him.
