Minister Bozinovic sent a letter of condolence to family of Vid Stipetic
“With regret I have received news of the sudden loss of Admiral Vid Stipetic. In this difficult moment I want you on my behalf and on behalf of all employees of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces to express the deepest condolences for the loss of your husband and father, our admiral Vid Stipetic.
All who have had the honour to know him, especially those who, as a commander led them, they know how much knowledge, experience and personal sacrifice he incorporated into the Croatian Navy. On that we are immensely grateful to him.
Although at present there are no words to relieve your pain, know that at this moment with you are all members of Vid’s large family – family of the Ministry of Defence and the Croatian Armed Forces”, has been written in the letter of Minister Bozinovic.
Admiral Vid Stipetic, veteran of the Homeland War and the second commander of the Croatian Navy. He was born in 193 in Ogulin. He was a volunteer in the Homeland War and a member of the Armed Forces since 1991. With his experience and knowledge he made a significant contribution to the formation and creation of the Croatian Navy, and the last duty, as the commander of the Croatian Navy, he served until 2002, when he retired.
For personal contribution to the defence of Croatia and courage during the Homeland War, he was awarded with the Order of Ban Jelacic, Order of the Croatian three-strand pattern, the Order of Nikola Subic Zrinski, Order of Croatian Trefoil, the Order of Prince Domagoj, the Memorial of Homeland War, the Memorial of Homeland Gratitude and with the Medal Storm.
