Minister Kotromanović congratulates rowers on medals won
Upon the yesterday’s winning of the European championships in rowing of brothers Martin and Valent Sinković and winning the European vice-champion title by Damir Martin, Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović congratulated the members of the Armed Forces – Valent Sinković, Martin Sinković and Damir Martin on the achieved results at the European Championships in rowing, held from 14 to 16 September 2012 in Varese, Italy.
“Dear Martin, Valent and Damir, on behalf of all employees of the Ministry of Defence, Armed Forces, and myself, I congratulate you on yet another excellent result by which you have proven why you recently won the Olympic medal, and climbed on the top of the European rowing. We are extremely proud of your accomplishments and we have no doubt that with you Croatian rowing and sport have a bright future”, Defence Minister Kotromanović said in congratulation.
Damir Martin, Valent and Martin Sinković have been members of the Armed Forces since March 2011 when, pursuant to the Agreement between the Ministry of Defence and the Croatian Olympic Committee on cooperation, promotion and development of sport in the Republic of Croatia, they became active military personnel.
