Minister Kotromanović congratulates silver quadruple sculls
Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović sent today, Friday, 3 August 2012, the congratulation to members of the Armed Forces – members of the quadruple rowing sculls Valent Sinković, Damir Martin, Martin Sinković and David Šain who won the silver medal at the Olympic games that are being held from 27 July to 12 August 2012 in London.
“Dear Damir, David, Martin and Valent, on behalf of all employees of the Ministry of Defence, Armed Forces, and myself, I congratulate you on a magnificent result – winning the silver medal at the Olympics. The dream of every athlete is to climb on the podium at the Olympics, but only the best and most persistent succeed at it. We are proud that members of the large family of the Armed Forces have achieved this great success, by which you have presented Croatia and Croatian sport in a magnificent way”, the Defence Minister Kotromanović wrote in congratulation.
Damir Martin, Valent Sinković, Martin Sinković and David Šajn have been members of the Armed Forces since March 2011 when, pursuant to the Agreement between the Ministry of Defence and the Croatian Olympic Committee on co-operation, improvement and development of sport in the Republic of Croatia, became active military personnel.
