Minister Kotromanović met Ambassador of Republic of Indonesia

Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović received today, 26 March 2012, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Croatia Agus Sardjana.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Minister Kotromanović stressed that the two countries have good and friendly relations which now could get a new dimension through the development of defence cooperation. In this context Minister particularly pointed out the possibility of military-technical cooperation in the defence industry.

“We have well-developed military industry, the products of our local companies have been recognized in other markets, and personally I see the potential for development of cooperation as well as for transfer of technology” Kotromanović said. He also expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Defence for the development of bilateral defence cooperation in other areas, which should be defined in a joint agreement on cooperation between the two defence ministries.

Ambassador Sardjana thanked Minister Kotromanović on the expressed desire to strengthen cooperation on defence plan, saying that in terms of increased defence budget for the Armed Forces of Indonesia there was certainly interest in expanding the level of military-technical cooperation with Croatia.
