Minister Kotromanović met Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo

Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović received today, 8 June 2012, the ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo Valdet Sadiku.

Minister Kotromanović stressed the good relations between the two countries and expressed support for efforts of the Republic of Kosovo to gain the status of the negotiator with the European Union. As it is known, the independence of Kosovo has so far admitted 91 countries, while the five EU countries did not.

Ambassador Sadiku used the occasion to thank for the participation of Croatian troops in NATO peace support operations in Kosovo (KFOR – Kosovo Force), and expressed hope that in the future Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kosovo would use Croatian experience in the restructuring.

Next week the arrival of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kosovo, Agim Ceku to Croatia is expected, on which occasion a memorandum of cooperation will be signed in the Croatian Ministry of Defence.
