Minister Kotromanović met Slovenian Ambassador to Croatia
Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović received on Tuesday, March 13, the ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Croatia Vojko Volk.
During the meeting the successful bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries was highlighted, emphasizing that there was a common interest in improving cooperation in all areas. Minister Kotromanović on this occasion said that the two countries-allies in NATO share common interests in ensuring stability and security in the region, as well as the experience that could be shared with other countries in the region on joining NATO and the European Union. The discussion was also about the experiences from participation in international peace support missions and operations, emphasising the satisfaction with the joint efforts in the Military Police School in Kabul in Afghanistan, where in the training of Afghan security forces Croatian and Slovenian mentors have been involved, as well as mentors from other countries from the region. They also discussed possibilities of cooperation in the frame of NATO concept of “Smart Defence”, namely on the possibilities of using available resources through joint collaboration on the development of capabilities.
